Week 10 rankings: C-C riding upward
By By Mike Grimala
In a battle for DCL supremacy, Concord-Carlisle and Lincoln-Sudbury went toe-to-toe on Friday night before C-C pulled away in the second half for a 27-0 victory. Both teams came into the game undefeated, and they slugged their way through the first half before going into the break tied at 0-0. The second half was a different story, however, as Concord-Carlisle's running game began to gain traction. C-C ran for 250 yards in the second half, led by senior George Craan (164 yards, 2 TDs) and Tyquan Culbreath (109 yards, 2 TDs).
The win pushed Concord-Carlisle from No. 9 to No. 6 in the POWERADE state rankings, while L-S tumbled out of the Top 10.
No. 1 Everett cruised to a 42-20 win over Malden to clinch the GBL title for the 17th consecutive season. The Crimson Tide are now locked into a first-round playoff matchup against Lynn English.
