NOTE: These are the final POWERADE Michigan Weekly Baseball Rankings of the season.

The season is over and the champions have been crowned, and Bishop Foley has held onto the top spot in the POWERADE Michigan Weekly Rankings. The Ventures, who claimed a second consecutive state title, finished with an impressive record of 42-3 following their 8-2 victory over Lansing Catholic. Other state champs included Hudsonville Grand Rapids Christian and Decatur. Other impressive storylines included a tremendous late-season run by Warren De La Salle, which turned it on in the postseason to advance to a state title game and nearly became the first team in state history to win a state championship despite a losing record.

1. Bishop Foley (42-3) Last week: No. 1

2. Hudsonville (31-5) Last week: No. 6

3. Grand Rapids Christian (36-5) Last week: No. 3

With the season nearly over, the single elimination format has proved deadly for many of the teams in our POWERADE Michigan Weekly Rankings. In fact, only four of our top 10 teams survived, and four of the top five are gone. That leaves room for only Bishop Foley as our No. 1 team this week, and soon we'll have a state champion to crown. Check back next week for the final POWERADE Michigan Weekly rankings.

1. Bishop Foley (39-3) Last week: No. 3

2. St. Clair (27-3) Last week: No. 9

3. Grand Rapids Christian (33-5) Last week: No. 6

It should be no surprise that our top 10 is full of district champions, as these are the teams that have shown they're the best of the best in our POWERADE Michigan Weekly Rankings. But now comes the truly difficult test, and staying alive won't be easy for our top teams. Gull Lake continues to lead the way with an impressive 36-2 mark, but a host of talented teams are ready to pounce should the Blue Devils falter early.

1. Gull Lake (36-2) Last week: No. 1

2. Northville (32-4) Last week: No. 2

3. Bishop Foley (37-3) Last week: No. 3

With the district tournaments right around the corner, not much has changed in this installment of the POWERADE Michigan Weekly Rankings. Our top four has held firm and all four are in the POWERADE Midwest Rankings as well, proving that these teams aren't just playing the best baseball in the state, they're among the best in the region as well. But don't sleep on new top 10 team Midland. The Chemics have a deep lineup and could sneak up on some teams in the coming weeks.

1. Gull Lake (32-2) Last week: No. 1

2. Northville (28-4) Last week: No. 2

3. Bishop Foley (34-3) Last week: No. 3

For the first time in a long time, we've got a new No. 1 in the POWERADE Michigan Weekly Rankings. Brother Rice's tough week against Bishop Foley has dropped the Warriors out of the top spot and down to No. 4 while Gull Lake rides a big week to the top spot. Northville has also climbed up a spot to No. 2 while Bishop Foley continues the ride up thanks to the back-to-back 3-2 victories over Brother Rice. Elsewhere, more no-hitters by University Liggett's Alex Daar has Liggett looking like the most dangerous team in Division 4.

1. Gull Lake (27-2) Last week: No. 2

2. Northville (27-3) Last week: No. 3

3. Bishop Foley (27-3) Last week: No. 8

Splits against two opponents might not have been enough to hold on to the top spot in the POWERADE Michigan Weekly Rankings. But when Gull Lake finally showed some mortality, losing twice for the first time since last season, Brother Rice was able to hold on to the top spot. Gull Lake rallied with wins over two other teams in the top 10 to stand firm at No. 2, and Northville capped a 4-0 week to hold pace and challenge the top two seeds as the regular season enters its final stages. Watch out for Holt, which moved from ninth to fourth this week and is peaking at the right time.

1. Brother Rice (23-4) Last week: No. 1

2. Gull Lake (21-2) Last week: No. 2

3. Northville (22-3) Last week: No. 3

It's getting harder and harder for Brother Rice to hold on to the top spot in the POWERADE Michigan Weekly Rankings. The Warriors are playing well, but with a second loss (despite to a team they've beaten before), the gap has narrowed. Gull Lake, meanwhile, is on a tear. The Blue Devils are currently 18-0 and have shown no signs of slowing down. Another slip-up could mean a new No. 1 in Michigan, but for now we'll hold steady with Brother Rice, which also sits at No. 39 in the POWERADE FAB 50.

1. Brother Rice (21-2) Last week: No. 1

2. Gull Lake (18-0) Last week: No. 4

3. Northville (17-3) Last week: No. 3

There's no knocking off our top team, Brother Rice, just yet. After all, the Warriors look as strong as any team in the Midwest. But nipping on the heels of the Warriors are two new teams to the top three of our POWERADE Michigan Weekly Rankings. Gull Lake and Grand Rapids Christian, together a combined 27-0, hope to take the top spot for themselves at the first sign of any missteps by top-ranked Brother Rice. And Northville, in the midst of a great season themselves, is right in the mix as well.

1. Brother Rice (12-1) Last week: No. 1

2. Grand Rapids Christian (13-0) Last week: No. 4

3. Northville (12-2) Last week: No. 3

Our new No. 1, Brother Rice, has certainly earned the top spot after getting off to a lightning-quick start. The Warriors aren't just winning -- they're dominating games and look to be title contenders already in the early portion of the season. But whether or not other top teams such as Bay City Western (new to our rankings and already in at No. 2), Gull Lake, Northville, Rockford or others can make a run will depend on some mid-season consistency as teams enter the heart of their schedules.

1. Brother Rice (10-1) Last week: No. 2

2. Bay City Western (11-1) Last week: NR

3. Northville (7-2) Last week: No. 1

Let us start with a plea this week to fans of Michigan baseball. It's been very difficult to find accurate records for your teams; if your record here is wrong, please let us know on Twitter @CParishESPN.

Northville and Brother Rice - two teams with big aspirations this year - lead off our Week 1 rankings. Why just Week 1? Because some teams are still just getting into the bulk of their schedule, while others (Brother Rice and Detroit Jesuit, to name a few) have already played more than 10 contests. The rest will catch up; how they do so will have a big impact on our rankings in the first few weeks of the season.

1. Northville (4-1) Last week: NR

2. Brother Rice (10-1) Last week: NR

3. Holt (0-0) Last week: 3

After holding down the top spot for the majority of the season, Lansing Sexton reigns as our No. 1 team in the POWERADE Michigan Weekly Rankings. The Big Reds, led by senior star Denzel Valentine (No. 97 in the ESPNU 100), toppled Lakeshore in the Class B final to cruise to a second consecutive state title. Other state champions included Saginaw, Beecher (who validated us with a state title after we kept them higher in the rankings than any other state rankings group) and Southfield Christian. Congratulations to all of this year's state champions.

1. Lansing Sexton (29-1) Last week: No. 1

2. Saginaw (25-2) Last week: No. 2

3. Beecher (28-0) Last week: No. 5

Just three games separate the teams below from a state championship. Three wins and the season ends in glory; any fewer and it's a reminder of what could have been. Only teams that have advanced to the state quarterfinals in their respective classes have earned a spot in our POWERADE Michigan Weekly Rankings; two of them face off Tuesday night when No. 4 Romulus takes on No. 3 Pershing. Next week will be our final rankings; by then we'll know who the state champ is.

1. Sexton (24-1) Last week: No. 1

2. Saginaw (23-2) Last week: No. 2

3. Pershing (22-2) Last week: No. 5

We're through the district tournament, and now things are getting good. Already we've seen some upsets that have shaken up the balance of power in the POWERADE Michigan Weekly Rankings, knocking out three teams (including one squad that looked firmly entrenched in the top five). Some bubble teams just waiting for their shot have taken their place, and now begins the slow climb either to the top or a quick descent to the bubble for the remainder of the season.

1. Sexton (22-1) Last week: No. 1

2. Saginaw (21-2) Last week: No. 2

3. Romulus (19-3) Last week: No. 3

Sure, nobody dropped out of the POWERADE Michigan Weekly Rankings this week. Don't expect that streak to continue much longer. With the district (and soon, state) tournaments ramping up, it's time for the top teams to show they're title contenders or risk falling out entirely. Even a top team such as Sexton can go from No. 1 to bubble team in just one week. Three unbeaten teams remain in the rankings, but one loss now will mean an early exit.

1. Sexton (19-1) Last week: No. 1

2. Saginaw (18-2) Last week: No. 5

3. Beecher (20-0) Last week: No. 3
