High-SchoolMissouri: St. Joseph Christian

After games on Sunday, March 11

While one team chased history, another fought to make sure history didn't repeat itself. In the end, they both accomplished their tasks.

McCluer North capped an impressive string of 26 wins with its second straight Class 5 title, beating Nixa 69-60. Nixa entered the contest on a win streak as well (30 straight), but it wasn't enough to overcome Jordon Granger (26 points, 16 rebounds) and the experience of a team that's won three state championships and made four title-game appearances in the last six years. The Stars moved up to 35th in the POWERADE FAB 50 rankings.

In the Class 4 final, Soldan finally got over the hump and won its first state crown in 31 years. The last two seasons had seen the Tigers settle for third place, but behind a tough regular-season schedule and Paul McRoberts' 18 points, Soldan was able to hold off Dorial Green-Beckham and Hillcrest by the score of 55-42.

Classes 1-3 are winding down their state tournaments, and perhaps the shot of all tournaments came in the Class 1 quarterfinal. Check out the video above for Brandon Shank's halfcourt buzzer beater to lift St. Joseph Christian past Jefferson, which made the No. 1 slot in SportsCenter's Top Plays.
