It was supposed to be an early-season treat, a rare matchup between top-10 teams.

It was supposed to be a gauge of which national powerhouse was the real deal, filled with star power and back-and-forth play.

Heck, it was supposed to be close.

So much for all of that.

In its first game of a highly anticipated season, Don Bosco Prep football showed why it's No. 1, easily beating No. 6 Mission Viejo (Calif.), 35-7, at Granatell Stadium on Saturday.

In the Ironmen's 36th straight win, John Wilkins and Jabrill Peppers led the charge, totaling 183 rushing yards and four touchdowns. Click here to read more about the game and here to read about how dangerous the Ironmen's ground attack could be this season (via ESPN New York).
