St. Anthony's looked the part of No. 1, easily beating Archbishop Stepinac, 55-29. Fort Hamilton won its 37th straight regular season contest, this time beating Jefferson by a count of 44-36. Plus, Tottenville and Iona Prep bounced back from their first losses of the year with wins.
In other words, it was pretty much business as usual for New York's top football teams this past weekend. Looming on the schedule, though, is a matchup between No. 1 St. Anthony's and No. 9 Xaverian that could shake up the rankings, so stay tuned.
