After games on Sunday, Jan. 29

Super Bowl Sunday is almost upon us, but in the days leading up to it, there are some big games on tap across the North Carolina prep hoops scene.

Let's start with No. 1 Olympic, which continues to look unstoppable behind swarming defense and a balanced offensive attack. No team has come closer to upending the Trojans than Harding, which travels to Olympic this Friday on a four-game win streak and primed to avenge a 63-62 loss on Jan. 6.

On Saturday, Christ School will be in the spotlight when it takes on Oak Hill Academy, which is ranked atop the POWERADE FAB 50. The Greenies fell to the Warriors last year at Cameron Indoor and Oak Hill has been impressive at 32-0 this year, but Christ School appears to have enough momentum to contend after winning its last 14 games. Shannon Hale has played well of late, dropping 26 points in a win against Asheville.

Here are this week's rankings (last week's rankings in parentheses):

1. Olympic (Charlotte) 20-0 (1)
Trojans appear unstoppable picking up two MEGA 7 conference wins against East Gaston and Garinger. All eyes will be on Friday's contest with No. 8 Harding.

2. Christ School (Arden) 23-2 (3)
Greenies move up a spot after extending their win streak to 14 games with victories against Asheville Christian and Asheville. A huge matchup against national No. 1 Oak Hill Academy (Va.) looms on Saturday.

3. High Point Christian 23-1 (2)
Cougars had an up-and-down week, defeating No. 4 Greensboro Day before falling for the first time this season against Wesleyan Christian.
