It's playoff time and several preseason favorites have fallen out of the rankings after tough regular-season finishes. Defending champ St. Edward dropped three of its last four games and Moeller fell in its final three contests to fall out of the rankings for the first time all season. St. Xavier might still be the top D-I team but the Bombers dropped to No. 7 after their third loss of the season. Teams like Colerain, Hilliard Davidson and Toledo Whitmer have stepped up to grab the top three spots in the state.
Here's how the top three teams fared last week:
1. Colerain — defeated Oak Hills, 40-14 (last week No. 5)
2. Hilliard Davidson — defeated Hilliard Darby, 21-0 (last week No. 10)
3. Toledo Whitmer — defeated Toledo Central Catholic, 38-21 (last week No. 6)
