Kenton's Mauk breaks national passing mark

November, 6, 2011
Kenton senior quarterback Maty Mauk now finds himself at the top of the two major national passing charts.

After throwing for 507 yards in a 74-22 playoff win over Wellington Saturday night, Mauk moved to No. 1 on the national career passing yardage list with 17,770, passing the previous mark of 17,364 held by Mauk's older brother Ben since 2002.

The Missouri recruit also tied a state record with nine touchdown passes in the game, pushing his national record for career touchdown passes to 208. He'll get a chance to add to both marks when Kenton plays Genoa Area on Saturday.
