Mike McCray knows all about his father's football career at Ohio State, but don't expect the junior linebacker to rush off to Columbus. Not just yet.

He had this to say about the Buckeyes to ESPN Recruiting's Jared Shanker:

"I used to [envision playing at Ohio State] a lot, but now there's other colleges showing me interest," McCray said. "My eyes are open." McCray, an ESPNU 150 Watch List member, holds offers from Purdue, Syracuse, Tennessee among others, and Ohio State remains a possibility for the 6-foot-3, 220-pounder. His father, Mike McCray, played for the Buckeyes in the late 1980s before injuries ultimately derailed his career on the gridiron.

The younger McCray has developed into one of the state's top defensive players and has also made an impact on offense for the Rams. He hauled in a 22-yard TD pass late in the fourth quarter last Friday to help Trotwood-Madison remain undefeated and ascend to No. 8 in the POWERADE Ohio Football Rankings.

Check out Shanker's story on this budding star and how his father is helping him achieve his dream of playing collegiate ball.
