FB powers take care of business as postseason nears

By David Auguste

The state's heavyweights proved they were ready for the start of the postseason as the top four squads capped unbeaten regular seasons. No. 1 Sheldon bounced South Medford down a spot after a 35-12 win. Lake Oswego topped Oregon City, Sherwood bested Milwaukie and Tigard smoked Hillsboro. Don't sleep on Grant and Aloha, who both caught fire down the stretch. We'll highlight some of the top playoff matchups later this week, but here's a look at this week's rankings.
Here's how the top three teams fared last week:
Sheldon — defeated South Medford, 35-12 (last week No. 1)
Lake Oswego — defeated Oregon City, 31-13 (last week No. 2)
Sherwood — defeated Milwaukie, 56-0 (last week No. 3)
