Neshaminy senior guard Ryan Arcidiacono, rated the nation's No. 34 recruit in the ESPNU 100, will miss the season, according to PhillyBurbs.com.
The Villanova recruit had 1,498 career points entering this season, but a back injury suffered during a camp in June had kept him out of most basketball activities since March.
In an interview with ESPNHS last week, Arcidiacono said he was working his way back and had hoped to join the team later this season. He gave us an update on how the injury was progressing.
"It's been messed up for a while," he said. "I don't think surgery is needed. I'm just taking my time with it and rehabbing three days a week."
It's a tough blow to a Neshaminy team that advanced to the state semifinals last winter and had hoped to make a similar run this season.
