THE PILLARS

Athletic achievement: Craig led the Rockets to an 18-6 record and a berth in the Class A state quarterfinals this past season. She averaged 18.6 points, 8.2 rebounds and 2.5 steals per game. Craig was a First Team Super State selection as a junior and a Third Team All-Nebraska honoree.

Academic excellence: Craig has maintained a 3.41 GPA in the classroom.

Exemplary character: A devoted member of her church community, she has volunteered as a peer tutor and on behalf of a local food bank.

THE PRAISE

“What makes Craig tough is her ability to create for herself and others,” said Jon Perone, head coach at Benson (Omaha, Neb.). “She’s a tough matchup because of her height and athletic ability, and she has great footwork and balance around the rim.”

THE FUTURE: Craig has signed a National Letter of Intent to play basketball on an athletic scholarship at Kansas State University this fall.
