2011-12 GATORADE STATE SOFTBALL PLAYERS OF THE YEAR

A dedicated ESPNHS POY team managed the Gatorade State Softball Player of the Year selection process, resulting in these winners based on athletic production and impact in the 2011-12 season. These student-athletes also demonstrated high academic achievement and exemplary personal character, including volunteerism, sportsmanship and community leadership. NOTE: The South Dakota and Wyoming state associations do not currently sanction softball. Oklahoma, Nebraska, Missouri, Georgia, Colorado (all fall) and Iowa (summer) do not play spring softball. As a result, in Iowa, the annual Gatorade recommendation is based upon candidates’ previous scholastic season and offseason club/showcase performance, if applicable. In the other five fall states, season stats are referenced as "2011."
