House, Knowles headed to Houston

For the second time in the last five days, a pair of star basketball players from Texas have committed to the same school. Unlike Flower Mound Marcus' Philip Forte and Marcus Smart, who pledged to Oklahoma State last week, Danuel House and Danrad "Chicken" Knowles aren't high school teammates, but when they do join forces at Houston next year, it's bound to be special.

Ranked No. 15 in the ESPNU 100, House shot up the charts with his play on the AAU circuit this summer, including a 25-point performance Texas Pro's victory over the Georgia Stars at the AAU Super Showcase in Florida. The senior plays his high school ball at Hightower.

Knowles, a 6-10 forward who sits at No. 56 in the ESPNU rankings, also shined this summer, catching the eye of several recruiters at the NBPA Top 100 Camp and with House on the Texas Pro squad. He's enrolled at the Homeschool Christian Youth Association.
