Montrose takes back the No. 1 spot in this week's hoop rankings

There may not be a hotter player in the area than Gonzaga's Kris Jenkins. The junior forward has topped the 25-point mark in each of his last three contests and knocked down the game-winning trey to lead the Zags over Patterson Monday. His play in that game was key as second-ranked Gonzaga was without UNC commit Nate Britt. Montrose Christian is back on top and holds the No. 5 spot nationally after DeMatha slipped up against Nevada's Bishop Gorman. New to the mix is Virginia power Osbourn, which has reeled off 14 in a row.

Here's a look at the top three teams:

1. Montrose Christian (11-1) — last week No. 2

2. Gonzaga (15-0) — last week No. 3

3. DeMatha (15-1) — last week No. 1
