Washington Football pick 'em: Round 5

10/21/2011

Who went undefeated last week? Everyone did. Not surprising that Mason nailed all five picks as he is now 21-1 through four weeks, while KeiVarae Russell is also doing work at 18-4. Here's how the current standings look.

Friday Football Pick 'Em standings

Standings after round 4 of picks

By now you guys know the deal; we identify the five best matchups of the weekend and predict who will be the winners. We like to get you guys involved and have you leave your picks in the comments section below.

No. 4 Skyline (5-2) at No. 3Eastlake (7-0)

No. 1 Bellevue (7-0) at Mount Si (5-2)

Archbishop Murphy (6-1) at King's (6-1)

Interlake (2-5) at Liberty (3-4)

Kentridge (4-3) at Tahoma (4-3)

My picks:

Skyline — Mini upset here based on our rankings, but Skyline's offense is as dangerous as Eastlake's but their defense has been playing well in recent weeks.

Bellevue — Rule No. 1 in football pick em: Never go against Bellevue. Mount Si won't have the firepower to keep pace with the Wolverines.

Archbishop Murphy — Alex Galgano is the type of workhorse back who can limit King's offensive possessions.

Interlake — Liberty hasn't been able to stop good offenses and Interlake is coming off consecutive 50-point efforts.

Tahoma — The Bears have been clicking on offense in recent weeks and could cause matchup problems for Kentridge.

Mason's picks (follow him @MasonKelley):

Skyline

Bellevue

King's

Interlake

Kentridge

KeiVarae's picks:

Eastlake — The Wolves are too physical and powerful and they execute on every opportunity they get.

Bellevue — No brainer, no chance in Bellevue losing.

King's — I don't know why but I feel that kings will come out on top.

Liberty — No comments.

Kentridge — No comments.
