Washington Football pick 'em: Round 7

11/4/2011

Good week for all three of us pickers. No surprise as Mason remains in first place after going 4-1. KeiVarae kept pace at 4-1 and I went 3-2. Here's a look at this week's standings.

Standings after round 6 of picks

This week's games feature a full slate of playoff action. Here are the matchups and the picks. Leave your winners in the comments section or Tweet them to me @ESPNHSAuguste.

Bothell (6-3) at Bethel (7-2)

Issaquah (7-2) at Skyview (7-2)

Ferndale (5-4) at Mercer Island (7-2)

Glacier Peak (6-3) at Bellevue (9-0)

Eastside Catholic (6-3) at Oak Harbor (8-1)

My picks:

Bothell — Who else is ready for a shootout between these two high-octane squads? Give me Bothell, a team better suited for the postseason with senior WR Trent Sewell, to outlast a Bethel team averaging 50 points a game.

Skyview — I was a believer in this offense at the beginning of the year, so I have to roll with an upset here. The Storm have been able to score on any defense and while Issaquah has a formidable unit, Kieran McDonagh has plenty of weapons to make it a long night for the Eagles' secondary.

Mercer Island — Jeff Lindquist has this offense rolling with back-to-back 45-plus efforts. The good times roll against a Ferndale team that has gone winless against teams in the POWERADE Washington Rankings.

Bellevue — Glacier Peak may keep it close early on, but Bellevue has too many playmakers and is focused on adding more hardware to its trophy case.

Oak Harbor — The Wildcats will key in on Chevy Walker and force someone else to try and beat them. I'm not sure if EC has enough firepower to get it done. OH moves on.

Mason's picks:

Bothell

Issaquah

Mercer Island

Bellevue

Oak Harbor

Here are Russell's picks:

Bothell

Issaquah
