Kamiakin vaults to No. 3 in this week's hoop rankings

February, 7, 2012
Will anyone in Washington be able to beat Rainier Beach this year? Lakeside had its shot last week, but Naim Ladd took over down the stretch with a four-point play to lead the Vikes to an incredible 68-66 comeback win. The win kept Beach undefeated against in-state teams. Davis moves into the No. 2 spot by virtue of wins over Richland and Wenatchee combined with a Seattle Prep loss to O'Dea. Prep drops to No. 5 - it's lowest ranking of the season. Back in the rankings are Garfield and Lake Washington, and we also welcome Lynden to the mix.

Here's a look at the top three teams:
1. Rainier Beach (19-1) — last week No. 1
2. Davis (17-2) — last week No. 3
3. Kamiakin (20-1) — last week No. 6
