Ingraham High will be in the national spotlight as the renovation of the school’s athletic facilities will be chronicled on ESPN’s “RISE UP” TV series tonight at 7 p.m. ET. Ingraham was among four schools across the nation selected to receive upgrades to its playing fields prior to the start of the 2011 season. The old Ingraham facilities hadn’t been renovated since the late ‘50s and will be touched up with new gym floors and other enhancements. The makeover is well deserved for a Rams program that has won seven consecutive sportsmanship awards.
The football team has gotten off to a fast start this season, sporting a 3-0 record after defeating Rainier Beach Friday night.
