Duane Brown fined $10,000

October, 9, 2013
HOUSTON -- In a news-filled day here in Houston, here's another bit.

Houston Texans left tackle Duane Brown was fined $10,000 for a hit that resulted in a personal foul penalty during the fourth quarter against the San Francisco 49ers.

The play happened after a fumble by running back Ben Tate. San Francisco cornerback Tarell Brown returned the fumble 16 yards before being pushed out of bounds by quarterback T.J. Yates.

Brown plans to appeal the fine.

Sunday's game was Brown's first after missing two games with a bad case of turf toe. He suffered the injury against the Tennessee Titans in Week 2.
