RTC: Former Texans find a home

Reading the coverage of the Houston Texans...

Danieal Manning says signing with the Cincinnati Bengals happened quickly after the Houston Texans released him, writes Paul Dehner Jr. of the Cincinnati Enquirer. "I saw the role that they had continuing to knock on the playoff door," Manning said. "I had seen this was a team that I would potentially love to play with if I ever had the opportunity to come to free agency." He also gets to reunite with former Texans defensive backs coach Vance Joseph.

Shortly thereafter, Owen Daniels, the tight end the Texans released before free agency began, was signed by the Baltimore Ravens. Daniels gets to reunite with former Texans coach Gary Kubiak there. Kubiak is the Ravens offensive coordinator.

Texans cornerback Johnathan Joseph ran for the first time since foot surgery this offseason. He was pleased with the results, writes James Palmer of CSNHouston.com. “I was surprised at myself and kind of shocked at myself because I hadn’t run since January when I had the surgery," Joseph said. “And for on my first time running I didn’t have any pain or restrictions. It was a big first step for me.”
