It's a big day for the US Men's National Team, playing in a pivotal game in group play against Germany after beating Ghana in its first game and drawing with Portugal in their second. They could have beat Portugal but for a late turnover by midfielder Michael Bradley which resulted in Portugal's equalizer during stoppage time. Bradley, the team's motor, needs a tuneup, writes Sam Borden of the New York Times.

Texans reserve quarterback Case Keenum said he might throw to receiver Andre Johnson during this break, writes Dave Zangaro of CSNHouston.com. “Dre is Dre, you know?” Keenum said on Wednesday. “Obviously, he’s done a lot of things around this league, especially here in Houston. And I’m one of his biggest fans. He’s a heckuva player and it’s definitely an honor to step on the field with him. It makes me bring my game up. It makes me want to improve myself and do what I do better. He has that quality to bring out the best in other people and it’s something that I’ve definitely learned from.”

Texans rookie draft picks traveled to Aurora, Ohio, to participate in the league's rookie symposium, writes Deepi Sidhu of the team's official website. NFC rookies went Sunday and AFC rookies arrived Wednesday. The symposium is designed to help players with the off-the-field transition to the NFL.
