The Houston Texans brought back a familiar face today in nose tackle David Hunter, who went to college at the University of Houston.
Hunter is listed at 6-foot-2, 301 pounds. He was with the Texans in training camp the past two seasons and made the team's active roster midway through the season in 2012. The Texans placed nose tackle Louis Nix on the physically unable to perform list this week, so Hunter takes his spot.
This won't be the last transaction we see, as preseason shuffling happens a lot. But as soon as the Texans' agreement with offensive tackle Tyson Clabo becomes official, they will have a full training camp roster. They haven't made the official transaction to move offensive tackle David Quessenberry to the non-football injury list while he undergoes cancer treatment.
Training camp begins at 8 a.m. Saturday with players reporting tomorrow.
