RTC: Charlie Strong lauds Bridgewater

By Tania Ganguli

Reading the coverage of the Houston Texans...

As he was introduced as Texas' new head coach, Charlie Strong plugged Teddy Bridgewater, who he coached at Louisville until a few weeks ago, writes Dave Zangaro of CSNHouston.com. Strong said: "Teddy Bridgewater’s an outstanding football player and the thing you like about Teddy Bridgewater is just his leadership ability. And not only because of how great of an athlete he is and how well he throws the ball and just manages the offense, but he’s an outstanding person. And he’s going to represent any organization, whoever takes him, he will represent that organization the right way."

After watching the press conference to introduce Bill O'Brien, something didn't sit right with Stephanie Stradley. She writes in the Houston Chronicle about her concerns with blaming the previous coaching staff for all of the Texans' problems. Then she offers lessons from this season, starting with: "If you don't have a quarterback you are a nothing in the NFL." True story.

Marc Vandermeer, the voice of the Texans, rode on the team plane with Bill O'Brien from Pennsylvania to Houston on Thursday. He also had O'Brien in studio on the radio. Watch/listen/read his thoughts here.

Wade Phillips sent a good-natured note to the Texans sales department to let them know he would not be renewing his purchase of a suite at Reliant Stadium this year, writes Michelle Homer of KHOU.com.
