RTC: On the Texans' historic comeback
By Tania Ganguli
No San Diego dateline for this one as I blog from mid-air.
Reading the coverage of the Texans...
John McClain of the Houston Chronicle didn't wait long to drop his first Twitter "pathetic" on the Texans last night as they dug themselves into a three-touchdown hole. In his game story, he explains how they won the game 31-28.
Dale Robertson of the Chronicle grades the Texans last night. He gives Matt Schaub an A and doled out three C's to the offensive line, running backs and head coach. Robertson finishes by noting the Texans don't need this kind of drama all season.
The Chronicle's Randy Harvey isn't quite sure what to make of the Texans after last night's game.
Matt Schaub and Andre Johnson saw the comeback coming. And likely so did many San Diego Chargers fans, writes Greg Beachem of the Associated Press.
San Diego's first-year coach Mike McCoy was hired to make the Chargers a contender now. The San Diego Union-Tribune's Kevin Acee writes that even though this loss came to a Super Bowl contender, it shows the Chargers have a long way to go.
