Tom Brady says goodbye to Vince Wilfork, asks for mercy

Signing with the Texans meant leaving behind a place he'd been for 11 years and where he'd won two Super Bowls. So naturally, some nostalgia arose for Texans nose tackle Vince Wilfork, who posted a series of goodbyes and thank yous to the Patriots, their fans, his teammates and former coach Bill Belichick.

They'll miss him, too.

Patriots quarterback Tom Brady posted a photo of himself and Wilfork on Facebook today with this caption:

"One decade bookended by two rings... To my longtime teammate and friend, Vince Wilfork - you’ll be missed, bud! Take it easy on me in Houston next year! #family

Wilfork replied with an Instagram post saying: "One of the toughest decision I ever had to make is walk away from the Patriot organization, fans, coaches and my f---ing locker room. Love u guys to death."

Brady will have quite a few friends on the Texans' roster, which includes two of his former backup quarterbacks and his former quarterbacks coach/offensive coordinator. The Patriots play the Texans in Houston this year, in a game that you can bet will be rife with emotion.
