Safety: Sergio Brown

2013 stats: Nine tackles and two fumble recoveries.

A legit argument could be made that Brown deserved to join long snapper Matt Overton, quarterback Andrew Luck, linebacker Robert Mathis and the rest of the coaching staff in Hawaii for the Pro Bowl for his play on special teams. Brown also stepped in and played some safety when LaRon Landry and Delano Howell were dealing with injuries.

Brown’s numbers don’t really show his value to the Colts. He had a tendency of outracing everybody down field to pin punts deep in the opponents’ territory. Punter Pat McAfee was Brown’s biggest supporter because of his ability to accomplish that feat.

Prediction: Brown's role is fairly limited outside of special teams, but coach Chuck Pagano is one of his biggest supporters. The Colts can likely re-sign Brown at a cheap price.
