Here is Monday’s Reading the Coverage:
  • Conrad Brunner of 1070thefan.com writes that the Colts are being forced to make chicken salad on offensive line because of the injuries they are dealing with. Guard Donald Thomas is out for the season with a torn quad and center Khaled Holmes is out several weeks with a sprained ankle.
  • Mike Chappell of the Indy Star says the Colts have a huge advantage on winning the division because of that quarterback that goes by the first name Andrew and last name Luck. Luck is 22-10 in his two years in the NFL. The other three quarterbacks in the division have a combined record of 53-91-1 as starters.
  • Kevin Bowen of Colts.com writes about the depth the Colts have at linebacker. “Our personnel department has done a great job and now we’ve got some legit competition going on and I like our depth a lot,” Colts linebacker coach Jeff Fitzgerald said. “It might be, and I hate to stretch myself a little bit until we get out here and get moving and I see some of these guys moving, this has the potential to be one of the best depth group of linebackers I’ve ever had, and that says a lot.”

Here’s a recap of the stories I wrote Sunday.
