Irsay-Gordon reaches out to ticketholders

By Mike Wells

ORLANDO, Fla. --  The wait to see how Carlie Irsay-Gordon feels about running the Indianapolis Colts in her father Jim Irsay's absence will remain for the time being.

Irsay-Gordon has been advised by legal counsel not to talk to the media at this time. Irsay-Gordon, who is here in Orlando, Fla., for the NFL owners' meetings, has the final say on the team's decisions while her father is in rehabilitation. Irsay faces four felony counts of possession of a controlled substance after being arrested on suspicion of intoxicated driving on March 16.

Irsay-Gordon may not be doing any interviews, but that didn't stop her from reaching out to Colts' season ticketholders on Monday:
Dear Loyal Colts' Season Ticketholders:

The outpouring of support and expressions of love and concern for my father have been overwhelming. My sisters and our families join me in thanking all of you who have reached out to us during this time. We are optimistic that he will return to good health and we, joined by many of you, will be praying for his full recovery.

In the meantime, I want to assure you that all the important work at our training facility will continue, without interruption. We have a strong, talented group of football professionals and an experienced and loyal front office team. Everyone will be working to complete a successful free agency season and draft in anticipation of an exciting football season.

As we approach the 30th anniversary of the Colts' arrival in Indianapolis, we can come together to remember great moments and celebrate the World Champion team that my dad built. Exciting weeks and months are ahead!

Go Colts!

Sincerely,

Carlie Irsay-Gordon
