JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Jaguars safety Josh Evans will miss Thursday’s game against Houston because of a shoulder injury, coach Gus Bradley said.

Evans was on the field for only nine snaps against Cleveland before suffering the injury. He was replaced by Winston Guy, whom Bradley said will start against the Texans.

Evans, the team’s sixth-round draft pick, has 41 tackles and one pass breakup.

The Jaguars (3-9) may have defensive end Jeremy Mincey back this week. Bradley said there’s a 90 percent chance that Mincey would be active against the Texans. Mincey did not make the trip with the team to Houston for the Nov. 24 game against the Texans because he overslept and missed a team meeting.

Mincey was not active for last week’s game against Cleveland, either.
