Now that the deadline for underclassmen to declare for the NFL draft has passed, the Florida Times-Union's Hays Carlyon looks at the talent pool and how it affects the Jaguars.
He lists the five players he believes are most likely to be Jaguars: defensive end Jadeveon Clowney, quarterback Zach Mettenberger, receiver Martavis Bryant, guard Brandon Linder, and running back De'Anthony Thomas.
Here are some additional pieces of Jaguars-related content from around the Web in our daily Reading the Coverage feature:
ESPN's Mel Kiper Jr. put out his mock draft 1.0 on Wednesday and predicted the Jaguars would take defensive end Jadeveon Clowney with the No. 3 overall selection. That means the Jaguars won't grab a quarterback -- the team's biggest need -- until the second round.
My 2013 position-by-position review continues with the linebackers.
The T-U's Ryan O'Halloran provides a list of the coaches who coached in the Reese's Senior Bowl since 2004 and the players they drafted that participated in the game.
NFL.com's Daniel Jeremiah also released his mock draft 1.0 on Wednesday and his predicted top three picks are interesting: Houston takes Clowney, St. Louis takes receiver Sammy Watkins, and Jacksonville takes outside linebacker Anthony Barr.
NFL.com's Gil Brandt's All-Rookie team didn't include any Jaguars players.
