JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Cleveland Browns owner Jimmy Haslam indicated that he’s going to match any offer the Jacksonville Jaguars make to center Alex Mack.
"We want Alex to be a Cleveland Brown," Haslam told The Cleveland Plain Dealer’s Mary Kay Cabot.
The Browns placed the transition tag on Mack, meaning the team has the right to match any offer another team makes for the two-time Pro Bowler. If no team makes an offer, then Mack will have to sign Cleveland’s transition tender for $10.039 million dollars for the 2014 season and become a free agent in 2015.
