CBSSports.com's Pete Prisco lists offensive coordinator Jedd Fisch among the 10 coordinators he'll watch closely this season. Prisco writes that Fisch is the perfect coach to develop Blake Bortles when he becomes the starter.

Ryan O'Halloran of the Florida Times-Union breaks down what rookie Brandon Linder working at center means for starter Mike Brewster. Linder, who played mostly guard at Miami but did play three games at center, has taken reps at center for the first time earlier this week. Coach Gus Bradley said the team is just trying to find out what the best combination is along the line but has faith that Brewster will play well in Thursday's preseason game at Chicago.

The Jaguars signed veteran center Antoine Caldwell on Wednesday, but that wasn't done to add someone to press Brewster. Caldwell is essentially a camp body.

NFL.com's Chris Wesseling ranks the backup quarterbacks in the NFL. Blake Bortles is No. 2 in his category of reliable veterans and future starters. Topping that particular list is Michael Vick of the New York Jets.

NFL.com's Bucky Brooks ranked the league's divisions by offense on Wednesday, and the AFC South came in last. On Thursday, he ranked the divisions by defense and the division fared better, coming in sixth. The NFC East is last and the NFC West is first.

The Associated Press reports that five-time Pro Bowl defensive end Jared Allen is expected to suit up for the first time this preseason when the Bears play host to Jacksonville.

The Jaguars rookies took part in the ice bucket challenge and they've challenged the rest of the NFL's rookies.
