The Chiefs lost five players, all regulars last season, within the first hour or so of the start of the free-agent signing period. I posted this early Tuesday morning, but it still applies now that the deed is done. And later I will have another post on the astounding money all of these players were given, and why it was smart for the Chiefs not to try to compete with it.
Another Kansas City Chiefs free agent, guard Geoff Schwartz, is now off the market, as well. Schwartz agreed to contract terms with the New York Giants.
