Prediction: Chiefs 27, Giants 17

KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- This one looks too easy. A turnover-prone, shoddy-pass protecting 0-3 team comes to Arrowhead Stadium to play a turnover-generating, fierce pass rushing 3-0 team.

Throw in another loud Arrowhead crowd and this one should be a blowout, right?

Maybe. There is plenty to like today regarding the unbeaten Kansas City Chiefs in their game against the struggling New York Giants. If the Chiefs get things going their way early and can get after New York quarterback Eli Manning the way they did with Michael Vick last week, they will move to 4-0 for the first time since 2003.

A couple things just don’t look right about that, though. First, there is no way the Giants can be as bad as they were last week in Carolina, where they lost 38-0. They may be an aging team that waited too late to rework the roster and has now hit the wall, but they’re better than they showed last week.

The other thing is that the Chiefs suddenly look too dependent on turnovers. They were plus-5 in turnovers last week in Philadelphia, so they should have had an easy time with the Eagles. But that game was too close for too long.

So I wonder how the Chiefs do once the turnover party ends, which it inevitably will. If it’s today, they should have enough to overcome an opponent that has allowed 115 points in three games.

But, in that case, it won’t be easy. Prediction: Chiefs 27, Giants 17.
