The transfer bug continues to hover over UCLA, this time it struck the football team.
Sophomore running back Milton Knox announced on Wednesday that he is transferring to another school.
"It didnt' really work out like I wanted it to work out," Knox told our own Ramona Shelburne. "Sometime that's just how the cards fall. There's no hard feelings or anything, I just have to do what I have to do."
Knox rushed for 134 yards on 29 carries as a redshirt freshman last season, primarily in mop-up duty. He didn’t necessarily seem too discontent during the spring and was often seen bouncing around throughout practice. Still, Knox never broke through like he envisioned when he switched commitments from Notre Dame to UCLA late in the recruiting process.
Fortunately for UCLA, there is depth in the backfield. Redshirt sophomore Johnathan Franklin leads a pack that also includes Derrick Coleman, Damien Thigpen and highly-touted incoming freshmen Malcolm Jones and Jordon James.
