With 2:48 left in this game, USC hasn't found a way to catch the Stanford Cardinal.

The Trojans are holding down the Cardinal offense in the second half, but USC hasn't been able to connect on buckets of its own.

Dwight Lewis still has a game-high 18 points on 7-of-13 shooting, but Marcus Johnson and Mike Gerrity have combined for a total of two points in this one.

Johnson's first bucket came with 4:31 to go and closed the gap to 47-43, but Stanford's Jeremy Green came right back and made a 3-pointer.

Leonard Washington's airball 3 with seven minutes remaining got the Maples Pavilion crowd chanting, but USC's Alex Stepheson picked up the rebound and got fouled. He made both shots at the line to make the score 47-41.
