Devon Kennard beat out Chris Galippo in the most hotly contested position battle of USC's fall camp, the competition at middle linebacker.

Trojans coach Lane Kiffin released his first depth chart of the 2010 season Friday and there weren't many surprises. Marc Tyler will start at tailback, beating out Allen Bradford, who sustained a mild injury last week in practice. Tyler had taken the majority of snaps with the first team offense in the final week of camp, including in Saturday's scrimmage at the Coliseum.

True freshman Robert Woods will start at one of the receiver spots. Woods also will be one of the kick returners, along with C.J. Gable.

True freshman Nickell Robey will start at one of the cornerback spots.

Ronald Johnson, the Trojans' No. 1 receiver, will return punts.
