USC did its annual 40-yard dash timing on Sunday afternoon, and the unofficial results have trickled in from a variety of participants.

All healthy players --both scholarship guys and walk-ons -- ran the drill, and freshman cornerback Ryan Henderson recorded the fastest time of any of the Trojans' 100-plus players, an electronically-timed 4.40. The stopwatch USC staffers used timed his run in the mid 4.3's, but the 4.40 is the final number. For comparison's sake, that electronic time would have tied for third-best among all cornerbacks at the 2011 NFL Combine earlier this year.

A 5-foot-10, 170-pounder, Henderson was the first-ever SPARQ national champion last year, an award used to determine the nation's top high school football athlete. He ran a reported 4.34 40-yard dash at that event in Oregon last July.

Rounding out the top five for the Trojans on Sunday were running back D.J. Morgan (4.44), cornerbacks Torin Harris (4.45) and Nickell Robey (4.45) and receiver Brice Butler (4.46).

Morgan was a big-time track competitor at Woodland Hills Taft, winning the state title in the 110-meter high hurdles as a junior. Robey did the 100-meter sprint, triple jump and long jump at Frostproof High in Florida; Harris was a long jumper at Palo Verde
