Napoli and (far from) fine art of throwing

Mike Napoli figures to set an Angels single-season record for home runs by a catcher in the coming years. He fell only two short of Lance Parrish's mark (22) the past two seasons.

He's an asset with the bat.

Napoli at times is a major liability behind the plate.

The word, apparently, is getting out. The San Diego Padres stole five bases off Napoli. Even hefty slugger Matt Stairs stole one off Napoli.

"He's certainly out of sync," manager Mike Scioscia said. "We'll get a baseline right now and make some adjustments. Nap will find it."
