Will Mike Trout soon be on the move?

The Angels' rule of thumb with top prospects is to move them up when they're no longer being challenged in their current league. It looks like that is starting to happen with the organization's (and maybe baseball's) top prospect, Mike Trout.

He's been scorching the Texas League for weeks. Trout is leading the league in stolen bases (23), second in triples (eight), fourth in batting average (.330) and fifth in OPS (.998). The guy who's leading in a lot of those categories, Oakland's center fielder Jermaine Mitchell, is seven years older than Trout, 19.

One good guess is that Trout will move to Triple-A after the Texas League All-Star game June 29. If he does, it looks like he could be in line for a September call-up to the Angels. That could set him up to be an everyday player some time in 2012. Say, mid-June?
