Is it folly to play Jeff Mathis?

ESPN.com analyst Matt Meyers strongly disagrees with how Angels manager Mike Scioscia continues to play Jeff Mathis in this post.

Scioscia is aware of how puny Mathis' bat is, and Bobby Wilson has been catching pitchers not named Jered Weaver and Dan Haren more times than not lately. Scioscia has said that the team's best-hitting catcher, Hank Conger, could give the Angels an offensive boost and might be back before September.

But Scioscia -- who caught 14 seasons in the major leagues -- remains insistent that Mathis' chemistry with the Angels' two best starting pitchers is simply too good to break up. Thoughts? Leave them below in the comments section.
