Angels GM talks to C.J. Wilson's agent

Angels general manager Jerry Dipoto said he has touched base with the agent for left-handed pitcher C.J. Wilson and that his team is "intrigued" by the possibility of adding their primary AL West rival's ace.

Wilson, who went 16-7 with a 2.94 ERA for the AL champion Texas Rangers last season, is from Fountain Valley, Calif., just south of Anaheim. He and fellow lefty Mark Buehrle are widely viewed as the top free-agent starters available, in addition to Japan's Yu Darvish.
