Manager Mike Scioscia will miss the next two games in this series to attend the high school graduation of his daughter, Taylor.

It's becoming a tradition around the Angels. Scioscia believes strongly in attending graduations, in part because his mother was a longtime school teacher in the Philadelphia area. Earlier this season, Scioscia gave center fielder Torii Hunter permission to fly to Arkansas to attend his son, Cameron's graduation. Three years ago, Scioscia left the team to attend his son Matt's graduation. Matt Scioscia now attends and plays baseball at Notre Dame.

Taylor Scioscia is a standout volleyball player at Louisville High in Woodland Hills.
