The Angels probably won't see a dime from hosting the All-Star game, other than the long-term benefit of increasing their national profile. All the revenue from the game goes directly to Major League Baseball, which sort of takes over the show at the Midsummer Classic.
Still, from most vantage points Tuesday's event looks like a success. For one thing, it was actually a good game. Here are some other highlights, courtesy of the Angels:
* In the 5K run, 9,209 participants raised more than $200,000.
* FanFest drew its fourth-highest crowd in its 20-year history with 118,429 fans.
* The game drew 29.5 million viewers, according to Nielsen.
