The Angels could get a little pitching depth back soon.

Scott Kazmir will throw 60 pitches in a simulated game in Tempe, Ariz., on Monday, then fly to meet the Angels in Baltimore. If all goes well, he'll start the team's game at Detroit next Saturday. Kazmir has tested his left shoulder twice in bullpen sessions and come out of it healthy.

"We're excited about where Kaz is. He had really good life on his fastball," manager Mike Scioscia said.

Also, reliever Jason Bulger will pitch in a rehab game for Single-A Rancho Cucamonga Tuesday and could rejoin the Angels next week.

"I wouldn't be out there if I didn't feel good enough," Bulger said.
