LOS ANGELES -- The Los Angeles Clippers announced today that they have signed guard Sasha Vujacic to a 10-day contract.

Vujacic is scheduled to meet the team in Denver and is expected to be in uniform when the Clippers play the Denver Nuggets on Monday night.

Clippers coach Doc Rivers said he was interested in Vujacic last month after bringing him in for a workout, and didn’t rule out the possibility of signing him after the team's recent seven-game road trip ended last week.

“I like Sasha,” Rivers said last month. “I don’t know if we’ll go with him right now but I do like him a lot.”

Vujacic hasn’t played in the NBA since 2011 when he averaged 11.4 points with the New Jersey Nets before leaving during the NBA lockout. He most recently played with Anadolu Efes of the Turkish Basketball League, where he averaged 11 points per game and shot over 35 percent from beyond the arc over the past two seasons.

Vujacic was drafted by the Los Angeles Lakers in the first round of the 2004 NBA draft and won back-to-back titles with the Lakers in 2009 and 2010. He would be the only player on the Clippers’ current roster to own a championship ring when he signs.
