Mattingly slowed by calf injury

LOS ANGELES -- The injury bug that has plagued the Los Angeles Dodgers all season and currently has landed eight of their players on the disabled list has even found its way to the manager's office now, Don Mattingly popping his right calf as he stretched after his daily workout on Wednesday.

Mattingly was hobbled but not broken -- and no, he said, Triple-A manager Lorenzo Bundy isn't being called up to fill in for the next 15 days -- but he did say pitching coach Rick Honeycutt probably will handle all pitching changes for the next few days until Mattingly is able to walk without discomfort.

Of course, you don't have to walk to fill out a lineup card, and this is the one Mattingly filled out for Wednesday night's game with the Milwaukee Brewers, which includes James Loney hitting second for the first time this year and just the 18th time in his career:

Elian Herrera, 2B

James Loney, 1B

Matt Kemp, CF

Andre Ethier, RF

Bobby Abreu, LF

Adam Kennedy, 3B

A.J. Ellis, C

Dee Gordon, SS

Clayton Kershaw, LH
