Yes, the Dodgers general manager was in attendance at the Oscars on Sunday. He was invited by his close friend, Tom Sherak, the outgoing president of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences.

"It was amazing," Colletti said. "I have been to a number of World Series, a couple of Super Bowls, a couple of NHL finals. You look at the preparation and organization that goes into something like that, which I do, and it's magnificent what they do and how they do it. And, the people you have seen in movies your whole life, you get to see them up close and personal.''

Colletti said he had always had the desire to attend the Oscars, but the desire had intensified when he arrived in Los Angeles as GM of the Dodgers some 6 1/2 years ago.
