LOS ANGELES -- When Clayton Kershaw struck out pinch hitter Jesus Guzman in the seventh inning, he nudged his way into a pretty tight circle.

It gave Kershaw 200 strikeouts this year, making him only the fifth L.A. Dodger to do it three seasons in a row. The others: Sandy Koufax (1961-66), Don Drysdale (1962-65), Hideo Nomo (1995-97) and Fernando Valenzuela (1984-86).

Tuesday also was Kershaw's 22nd quality start, good for second in the National League.
